Training Courses
ISCR’s education programmes in Egypt started in February 2008 and will end in February 2009. Beyond ordinary coordination and organization activities the 12 months have been structured as follows:
- 12 months of activities.
- 120 attendants.
- 100 academic teachers.
- 37 artworks of the Egyptian Museum of Cairo included in the preservation and restoration courses.
- month training courses in Cairo, for 1500- hour lessons, divided into 900- hour theory classes and 600-hour laboratory practice.
- month stage in Rome, at ISCR’s restoration and scientific laboratories for 2 Egyptian attendees.
- 2 exhibitions, one at the Egyptian Museum of Cairo (opening 2008 October 26 ) and another at the Complesso di S. Michele a Roma (2009 January).
- 1 congress for final results presentation with the presence of the main characters involved in the initiative.
- 1 book dealing with courses published in Italian and English.
- 1 Arabic translation of “Teoria del restauro” by Cesare Brandi.
